Valley of the Hudson Begins a New Christmas Tradition

12/14/2020

In the month of December, the Valley of the Hudson laid wreaths at the graves of John Homa, George Clinton, Daniel Carter Beard, James West, and Robert R. Livingston.

Beard and West, Brother Freemasons were instrumental in shaping the Boy Scouts of America, our own John Homa was a  WW II hero participating in the D-Day invasion, George Clinton a former Vice President of the United States, and Robert R. Livingston, a founding father of the United States.  Each one of these men are our fraternal Brothers of which three of them are named after bodies of the Scottish Rite in our Valley.

Due to Covid-19 and the location of where Brother Livingston is buried the Valley also donated two poinsettias which will be used in his honor during the Christmas eve service at the Episcopal Church where he is buried.

As a leadership team, we have decided that each December we will continue to participate in this tradition and honor these great men.

My thanks to the LOP, Chapter, Council, and Consistory for participating in this endeavor.

Fraternally,

Bob Siebold, 32°, MSA
Commander in Chief
